A tour of the 15,000-square-foot factory and office of Lighting Nelson & Garrett Incorporated. The company recently completed much of the custom lighting for the West Block of the Parliament buildings in Ottawa. This project included more than 1,000 lighting fixtures of over 20 different types, all handmade from solid brass using traditional methods, yet incorporating state-of-the-art high-powered LED engines designed and built in this facility.

Lighting Nelson & Garrett is recognized as one of, if not the only, lighting fixture design and manufacturing companies in Canada producing very high quality custom lighting fixtures in a variety of styles from modern to historical. Much of its work includes reproduction and restoration of historical styles. They are currently reproducing exacting replicas of the lost exterior lanterns, pendants, and wall lanterns from Union Station in Toronto, using historical architectural drawings from 1917 and period photos.
